Mission statements


The First Nations Clean Technologies Corporation (FNCT)

1. focuses on the involvement of the First Nations communities in adopting and implementing clean technologies that will improve the lives of First Nations people on the reserves.

2. focuses on employing indigenous people to work with the First Nations communities on the reserves to identify areas of improvement for a healthier life, such as Clean Air and Clean Water.

3. aims to have more than 80% of its employees to be indigenous people and will target 100% employment of indigenous people.

4. partners with clean technology companies that could offer state-of-the-art technologies and equipment, at a competitive price, who will assist in the FNCT’s effort to improve the quality of life of the First Nations people in the reserves.

5. assists in forming a unified, informative, well-substantiated voice, based on each community’s unique needs for clean technology upgrades. Such upgrades will be in alignment with climate change, global policy, and technology trends.

6. implements or assists state-of-the-art clean technologies solutions to the First Nations communities (FNC) under the leadership and direction of the FNC through their Chiefs, Council, and Band Managers.

7. adapts existing technology products to the needs of FNC in the reserves. This partnership between FNC with FNCT will ensure sustainability and provide frequent upgrades to keep up with the latest technologies. By doing so, the First Nations people will enjoy a good quality, healthy, happy, and productive life.

8. holds workshops for First Nations people, provided by and led by experts in the field of clean technologies.

9. assists in the training of state-of-the-art clean technologies either through First Nations Training Centers and/or local First Nations Educational Institutions and/or First Nations Centers of Excellence.

The First Nations Clean Technologies Corporation (FNCT) Board of Directors consists of 21 renowned First Nations leaders from across Canada that includes:
▪ Chiefs with a strong record on improving the lives of the FN people in their communities and First Nations people across Canada, and
▪ First Nations individuals who have greatly contributed to improving the lives of First Nations people.

About us

Established in 2021, First Nations Clean Technologies Corporation (FNCT) is an Indigenous-owned company headquartered in Toronto. FNCT’s CEO and President, Geordi Kakepetum, who is the former Executive Director of Keewaytinook Okimakanak (KO) First Nations Community, has a mission to involve First Nations communities in clean technologies that will improve the lives of the First Nations people in the reserves. The company focuses on the employment of indigenous people to work with the First Nations communities in the reserves to identify areas of improvement for a healthier life such as clean air and clean water.
